Closed Roads Due to Black Ice and Difficult Conditions
The Emergency Service has reported that there are closed roads within the territory of Armenia. The roads leading from the 'Amberd' high-altitude meteorological station to the Amberd Fortress and Qari Lake are closed in the Aragatsotn region.
There are patches of black ice on the roads in the regions of Aparan, Aragats, Vanadzor, Spitak, Tumanyan, Tashir, Sevan, Jambarak, Martuni, Gavar, Abovyan, Hrazdan, Nairi, Vayk, Sisian, Goris, Ashotzk and Amasia.
The Vardenyats mountain pass is closed to freight vehicles and is difficult for other types of vehicles. Drivers are urged to use only winter tires.
Regarding Lars, according to information received from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia's Emergency Department and the Crisis Management Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation in North Ossetia, the Stepantsminda-Lars road is open to all types of vehicles.
