Fog in Goris, Spitak Pass Closed for Heavy Vehicles: Situation on Roads in Armenia
Fog is present in Goris, and the Spitak Pass is closed for heavy vehicles. As of December 26, snow is falling in the regions of Sevan, Jambarak, Vardenis, Aparan, Aragats, Spitak, Vanadzor, Talin, Ani, Artik, Akhuryan, Ashotzk, Tavush, and Vayk, as well as from the part known as 'Zanger' in the Sisian region towards Gorayk. In the Tumanyan region, snow mixed with rain is reported. This information is provided by the Road Department.
In the Goris region, fog reduces visibility to 50-60 meters. The Spitak Pass is closed to heavy vehicles. All interstate and republican significance highways are open.
Road service companies are conducting cleaning and salt-sand treatment on the roads. Drivers are urged to be cautious, strictly adhere to traffic regulations, and travel exclusively with winter tires.
