Russia Terminates Military Agreements with 11 European Countries

The Russian Ministry of Defense has received government approval to dissolve a series of international agreements related to military cooperation. This pertains to the termination of 10 agreements signed between 1992 and 2002, along with one relevant memorandum.

The list of agreements being terminated includes documents that the Russian Federation had signed with several European countries. These include Germany, Poland, Romania, Denmark, Norway, the Netherlands, Croatia, Belgium, and the Czech Republic.

Additionally, it is planned to invalidate the military cooperation memorandum signed between the defense ministries of Russia and the United Kingdom. The specified agreements regulated various forms of cooperation in the military sector between the parties.

The official announcement does not clarify when the process of terminating the agreements will be completed and what legal procedures will be followed in subsequent phases. It is only known that the initiative is being carried out with the approval of the Russian government.
