Significant Progress Recorded: Whitcoff on Berlin Negotiations
The meeting between Ukrainian and U.S. delegations in Berlin lasted more than five hours. Negotiations will continue tomorrow.
U.S. Special Envoy Steve Whitcoff announced this on social media. He revealed that the meeting in Berlin involved Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, U.S. Special Envoy Steve Whitcoff, Donald Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner, and delegations from the U.S. and Ukraine.
“The representatives had in-depth discussions on a 20-point peace plan, economic agenda, and more. Significant progress has been made, and they will meet again tomorrow morning,” he wrote.
Handelsblatt and the communications advisor to the Ukrainian president, Dmytro Litvyn, previously reported that negotiations in Berlin would continue on Monday, December 15. The publication also noted that the U.S. has preliminarily accepted the prospects for success in the Berlin talks.
