Official to be fined for waste burning
The Environmental and Natural Resources Inspection Body has issued a statement regarding the issue.
“Today, based on a video published on social media showing the employees of the 'Yerevan Waste Collection and Sanitation' municipal organization burning waste, an administrative proceeding has been initiated by the Environmental and Natural Resources Inspection Body. In Ajapnyak administrative district of Yerevan, an administrative violation report has been filed against the sanitation group leader responsible for the employees who burn household and consumption waste near the North-South highway. This report will result in an administrative fine of 200,000 AMD,” the statement reads.
