Russia Has Always Done Everything Possible for Armenian-Azerbaijani Settlement, Says Shoigu

Russia has always done everything possible for the Armenian-Azerbaijani settlement, stated Russian Security Council Secretary Sergey Shoigu. According to him, many may get the impression that the USA is the only country that has resolved eight or nine conflicts around the world.

“Of course, Russia's contribution to the resolution of the still unresolved relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan is significant, and Russia has made a substantial contribution to establishing peace in the South Caucasus,” said the Russian Security Council Secretary after a meeting with CIS partners.

Shoigu expressed positive views on the opening of any communication between the countries, including a route connecting Nakhchivan and Azerbaijan through Armenian territory, although he described the term “Trump’s route” as “exotic”.
