Khachatur Sukiasyan Does Not Register for Parliamentary Elections
Member of Parliament Khachatur Sukiasyan from the 'Civil Contract' party has not registered for the parliamentary elections to be included in the ruling party's proportional list, confirmed his spokesperson Anna Mkrtchyan in a conversation with Auroranews.
There was no comment from Sukiasyan's spokesperson regarding the reasons for this decision.
The party had previously announced that candidates could self-nominate for the proportional list of the CP for the upcoming parliamentary elections in 2026 between November 1 and November 30, 2025. Applications for nomination can be submitted not only by party members but also by independents if they have the guarantee of any member from the governing body.
Two other government MPs, Lena Nazaryan and Kristine Poghosyan, have also decided not to register.
