Rapid Peace Settlement Not in Ukraine's Interests: Kaja Kallas
The head of European Union diplomacy, Kaja Kallas, has stated that a rapid peace settlement is not in Ukraine's interests.
“I think we need to understand now. This very rapid path is not beneficial for Ukraine. We really need to focus on the concessions from Russia, which undoubtedly require time,” she said.
Kaja Kallas also caused dissatisfaction among several European politicians regarding her statements on Belgium's position concerning the use of frozen Russian assets. During discussions, she supported the idea of providing loans to Ukraine in exchange for Russian funds, which Brussels had previously opposed.
