Currently, the Agenda is Set by the Acting Government: Alen Simonyan
The Speaker of the National Assembly, Alen Simonyan, stated in a press briefing that there is no opposition in the country. According to Simonyan, at present, the agenda is dictated by the acting government, while the opposition only holds the status of a detractor.
He noted that the opposition has nothing substantial to say and has been responding with the same types of expressions for the past five years, using terms like “Turk, traitor, land-seller.” Simonyan added that they also do not present clear proposals regarding elections, pointing out that they could have demanded elections to be held on June 7, 2026, for instance.
