Financial Burden of Helping Ukraine Will Fall on French Taxpayers, Says MP
The financial burden of purchasing fighter jets and other military equipment from France by Ukraine will fall on French taxpayers, stated Florian Philippot, leader of the French right-wing party "Patriots."
"We will pay for the purchase of Rafale jets by Ukraine, which, supposedly, we are selling to them," Philippot wrote on his X social media page, quoting President Macron's announcement.
It is noteworthy that French President Emmanuel Macron and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky signed a new declaration, which stipulates that Kyiv will buy 100 Rafale fighter jets and SAMP-T air defense systems from France.
