Russia May Transport Cargo to Armenia through Azerbaijani Territory: Pashinyan
Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has stated that discussions are currently underway regarding the establishment of railway communication between Russia and Armenia, traversing Azerbaijani territory. He made this announcement during the opening of the "Orbelian" forum held in Yerevan.
According to Pashinyan, the discussions pertain to a possible option through which Russian cargo could reach Armenia via Azerbaijan's railway system. The Prime Minister emphasized that this initiative could create new opportunities for the development of regional communications.
Additionally, Pashinyan revealed that Yerevan and Washington are engaged in active negotiations on a new railway project aimed at connecting the main part of Azerbaijan with Nakhichevan. He noted that the American involvement is linked to the fact that this project is included in the international TRIPP initiative.
