Baku Has Not Yet Made a Decision on Trump's Proposal
The Trump administration has proposed that Azerbaijan join an international mission for the stabilization of Gaza following the cessation of military operations. This was reported by AnewZ.
According to sources, Baku has not yet made a decision on the matter. Azerbaijan insists that participation is only possible in the presence of a UN Security Council resolution, which would ensure the international legitimacy of the mission.
The initiative envisions the establishment of multinational forces for securing safety, delivering humanitarian aid, and preventing new conflicts. The United States does not plan to send troops but is forming a coalition of partners, among which Azerbaijan is being considered.
Baku is coordinating its actions with the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and the League of Arab States, emphasizing that Arab countries themselves should decide the future of Gaza.
