Publishing Secret Recordings or Videos Cannot Be Justified in Any Way, Arthur Papyan
Information security expert Arthur Papyan has stated: “Some secret recorded videos have surfaced online, allegedly showing a clergyman engaged in sexual acts with a woman. Let’s start with the fact that it does not matter at all whether the person is a clergyman, a politician, or a private individual. In fact, it is not even important whether the person in the video is truly that clergyman or not. The violation of personal life and the publication of secret recordings or videos cannot be justified in any way — neither for political struggle, nor for public benefit, nor for personal revenge, nor for propaganda purposes.
Such actions undermine trust, devalue institutions, and degrade human dignity. This is not merely an ethical issue; it is also a violation of the Constitution of the Republic of Armenia and several laws, as well as international obligations, which contradict the foundations of democratic values.”
