India Rejects Russian Oil
The U.S. Department of the Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) is imposing additional sanctions due to Russia's serious lack of interest in the peace process, as reported by the Treasury's press service.
“Today's sanctions target Russia's two largest oil companies, Rosneft and Lukoil,” the statement said. The department added that the U.S. Treasury is prepared to take additional measures if necessary to support President Trump’s efforts to cease the conflict. The department also called on allies to join and adhere to these sanctions.
As clarified by the Treasury, the restrictions also apply to the subsidiaries of Lukoil and Rosneft that are located in Russia.
