Speaker of the National Assembly Announces Armen Pambukhchyan's Resignation
Member of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia, Armen Pambukhchyan, submitted his resignation on September 17. In connection with this, the President of the NA, Ararat Mirzoyan, has issued a statement.
In the statement, it is noted: "According to Part 1 of Article 155 of the Constitutional Law on the Rules of Procedure of the National Assembly, Member of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia Armen Pambukhchyan submitted a resignation request on September 17. According to Part 2 of Article 155 of the Constitutional Law on the Rules of Procedure of the National Assembly, if, within one week following the announcement of the resignation, the member withdraws his resignation request in writing, the President of the National Assembly shall issue a statement on this. If he does not withdraw his resignation request, an act is drawn up documenting the cessation of his powers, which is signed and published by the President of the National Assembly. From the moment of publication of the act, the resignation is considered accepted."
