Zourabichvili Was Prepared to Enter the Tbilisi Presidential Palace If the Coup Had Been Successful, Kobakhidze Says
The former president of Georgia, Salome Zourabichvili, had plans to enter the Tbilisi Presidential Palace if the attack and coup on October 4 had been successful, stated Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze in an interview with the Rustavi 2 television channel.
“Salome Zourabichvili was prepared to enter the presidential residence. However, after the failure, she abandoned that thought,” said the Prime Minister of Georgia.
Kobakhidze added that Zourabichvili was among the protesters on the day when the rally turned into an assault on the presidential palace.
