Who Should Be Accused? He Sold the Land Himself. Vachagan Ghazaryan on Serzh Sargsyan
"Did I sell the land? Who should be in the defendant's chair? No one sold me land, I have never bought land myself," said Vachagan Ghazaryan, the former chief of security for Serzh Sargsyan, outside the court.
When asked by a journalist who should be in the defendant's chair, he replied that it should be whoever sold it, when pressed if that was Serzh Sargsyan, Ghazaryan responded, "The government, even if he... who sold it, did I sell it, or did you?" He also noted that he has not testified against the third president of Armenia.
The former chief of Sargsyan's security stated that the mentioned lands belonged to him in 2021, after which they were returned. When asked under what circumstances the lands became his, Ghazaryan stated that this would become clear during the trial.
