Trump Gifts Lukashenko with White House Souvenirs
Trump has gifted Belarusian leader Alexander Lukashenko with souvenirs featuring the White House. This was reported by Belta. The gift was handed over to Lukashenko during a meeting in Minsk by a representative of the U.S. President, John Cole.
Lukashenko noted that the souvenirs are 'interesting' and added that he would try not to be left 'in debt.'
At the request of the U.S. President and other heads of state, as a gesture of goodwill and based on humanitarian principles, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko decided to grant pardons to several foreign citizens who were convicted of espionage, participating in extremist and terrorist activities, and committing other criminal acts on the territory of the Republic of Belarus, as reported by BELTA.
In total, pardons were granted to 14 foreign citizens. Among them, six are from Lithuania, and two each from Latvia, Poland, and Germany, with one each from France and the United Kingdom.
