EU's Response to Trump's Proposal for 100% Tariffs on India and China
A European official has commented on U.S. President Donald Trump's proposal to raise tariffs on India and China, stating that the EU does not use tariffs as a tool for sanctions in its policy, according to the Wall Street Journal.
"The EU bloc does not use tariffs as sanctions against other countries," the publication notes.
Previously, it was reported that the U.S. president had asked the EU to increase pressure on Russia through joint efforts by raising tariffs on India and China to 100%.
