Venezuelan President Orders Deployment of 25,000 Troops to Colombia Border
Venezuelan President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Nicolás Maduro has ordered the deployment of 25,000 troops to the border with Colombia, as well as along the Caribbean and Atlantic coasts. This was reported by TASS.
He emphasized that the main purpose of this mobilization is to protect national sovereignty, ensure the security of the country, and fight for peace.
U.S. President Donald Trump has stated that Venezuela is not making adequate efforts to combat the illegal drug trade.
