It was Useful for Us to See the Argument Between Trump and Zelensky
U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance told USA Today that it was beneficial for Americans to witness the argument between President Donald Trump and Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky that took place in the White House. Vance noted that it was helpful for the American people to see the dispute with Zelensky.
Recall that President Trump confronted Zelensky in the White House on February 28 as the latter arrived to sign an agreement on the joint development of Ukraine's mineral resources. The Kyiv leader criticized the Vice President's remarks that the path to peace in Ukraine is through diplomacy. Vance, for his part, labeled Zelensky a thankless advocate for the Democrats as they began to justify his actions, blame Russia, and even threaten the United States that they would feel the consequences of the conflict, despite the ocean separating them.
As a result, the Ukrainian delegation was asked to leave the White House, and the agreement was not signed. The Vice President and Zelensky met at the White House for the first time since the argument on August 18.
