European Commission to Discuss 19th Sanctions Package Against Russia
The European Commission (EC) has confirmed that the 19th sanctions package against Russia will be discussed during the informal meeting of EU foreign ministers scheduled for August 29-30 in Brussels. This announcement was made by EC representative Anita Hipper during a meeting held in Brussels.
“During the informal meetings of defense ministers and EU foreign ministers, we will also discuss how we can further increase pressure on Russia and how we can support Ukraine more actively and effectively,” she stated.
Previously, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen had announced the 19th sanctions package aimed at Russia.
