Turkey Ready to Host Summit on Ukraine
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has had a telephone conversation with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, during which they discussed bilateral relations as well as regional and global issues. Erdoğan emphasized the importance of the progress made in direct Ukraine-Russia negotiations in Istanbul and expressed hope for significant results in the next phases regarding the ceasefire, which would be a step towards sustainable peace.
The Turkish leader announced that Ankara is ready to host a summit at the leaders' level and is confident that the establishment of working groups in military, humanitarian, and political areas will pave the way for this meeting. Erdoğan reiterated that Turkey will continue to support Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity.
