Nikol Pashinyan Holds Phone Conversation with Turkish President: Details
The Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, had a phone conversation with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
During the call, the Prime Minister presented the outcomes of the negotiations held on August 8 this year in Washington, D.C., specifically addressing the preliminary signing of the 'Agreement on Peace and Inter-State Relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan'. He also discussed the joint application submitted to the OSCE regarding the dissolution of the OSCE Minsk Group mechanisms, the unblocking of regional communications based on the principles of territorial integrity, sovereignty, and jurisdiction of states, and mutuality, as well as the 'Trump Road for International Peace and Prosperity' project.
Pashinyan emphasized that establishing peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan creates an opportunity for a new quality of regional cooperation. Furthermore, the two leaders discussed issues on the Armenia-Turkey bilateral agenda, particularly the implementation of previously reached agreements. The Prime Minister noted that the environment for executing these agreements is more favorable than ever.
Both interlocutors agreed to continue active political dialogue.
