Iran's Foreign Ministry on Conditions for Nuclear Program Reduction
Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister Majid Takht-Ravanchi has stated that Iran may agree to restrictions on its nuclear program for a certain period in exchange for the lifting of American sanctions, according to a Kyodo news agency report following an interview with the minister.
"Iran will agree to limitations on nuclear development for a specific period in exchange for the lifting of U.S. sanctions against Iran, as well as the intention to reduce uranium enrichment levels," the agency reports.
According to the Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister, "Iran continues to communicate with the United States through intermediaries, but has not specified a timeline for the resumption of negotiations."
