European Countries to Discuss with Trump Before His Meeting with Putin

European countries are attempting to arrange discussions with U.S. President Donald Trump prior to his scheduled meeting with Russian leader Vladimir Putin in Alaska, Bloomberg reports, citing sources.

This move follows intense diplomatic interventions over the weekend, including a meeting on Saturday between U.S. Vice President Jay D. Vance and British Foreign Secretary David Lemm.

On Sunday, ambassadors from EU member states were informed about the negotiations, and on Monday there will be a virtual meeting of heads of diplomatic missions from Cooperation countries.
