Supreme Judicial Council Issues Warning to Masis Melkonyan
Today, the Supreme Judicial Council issued a warning to Masis Melkonyan, a judge of the Avan court of the Yerevan criminal court.
The proceedings were initiated by the Committee on Judicial Ethics and Disciplinary Issues, represented in the Council by judges Arman Hovhannisyan and Hovik Shahnazaryan.
The reason for initiating the proceedings was that the judge failed to clarify the rights of the defendant before providing testimony in one of the cases under his review.
