Armenia and Turkey's Positions Are Quite Close, Kostanyan
The Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia, Vahan Kostanyan, has commented on the visit of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan to Turkey. He stated, "The visit took place in a rather positive atmosphere. Issues related to Armenia-Turkey bilateral relations and regional matters concerning the South Caucasus and the broader Middle East were discussed. It was noted that the positions of Armenia and Turkey on several topics are quite close.
Regarding the opening of the Armenia-Turkey land border for citizens of third countries and individuals holding diplomatic passports, both sides reiterated that the agreement remains in force. In any case, steps need to be taken in this direction," Kostanyan said. He also denied that Erdoğan had made the issue of Azerbaijanis coming to and living in Armenia a priority on the agenda.
