Unauthorized Constructions Not Subject to Legalization, Tovmasyan
"Unauthorized constructions built after 2022 are not subject to legalization," stated Suren Tovmasyan, the head of the Cadastre Committee, during the preliminary discussions on the annual performance report of the 2024 state budget at a joint committee meeting of the National Assembly.
"We have all the tools to continue the process, and we have clearly recorded one thing, and in my opinion, it is not subject to any change. We are talking about unauthorized constructions built after 2022. It is already legislatively determined that they are not subject to legalization. As the head of the Cadastre Committee and as a citizen of Armenia, I believe we need to put an end to such approaches, considering our seismic risks and the potential for creating a more sustainable and proper urban environment in the future," the head of the Cadastre Committee announced.
