Armenian Defense Ministry Responds to Azerbaijani Statement
The Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense's statement claiming that on the night of March 20 to 21, Armenian Armed Forces units opened fire on Azerbaijani positions located in the eastern and southeastern sections of the border does not reflect reality.
It is noteworthy that the Government of the Republic of Armenia has proposed the establishment of a joint mechanism to investigate incidents of ceasefire violations and/or related reports, to which Azerbaijan has yet to respond.
The Armenian Ministry of Defense reaffirms its readiness to investigate the facts supporting the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense's statement, provided they are communicated to Armenia.
At this moment, the Republic of Azerbaijan has not provided any factual evidence or justification to Armenia regarding alleged ceasefire violations by Armenian Armed Forces units.
