For Ukraine, it is a 'Red Line': Zelensky
Ukraine does not recognize occupied territories as part of Russia. This is a 'red line' for Ukraine in negotiations. This was stated by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky during a press briefing.
“As president, and Ukrainians as citizens of our country, we will not violate our constitution but will defend our sovereignty and independence, protecting our people and our land. It is very difficult for us to fight against such an enemy. This is understandable. Ukraine is fighting for independence; therefore, it will not recognize any territories occupied by Russia. We will not allow anyone to forget about this crime against Ukraine,” said the President.
Earlier, Zelensky indicated why he agreed to the proposal from the U.S.
