Armenian Defense Ministry Denies Latest Azerbaijani Claims
The Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense's statement claiming that on March 18 at 08:55, Armenian Armed Forces units opened fire towards Azerbaijani positions located in the eastern section of the border does not correspond to reality. This was announced by the Armenian Ministry of Defense.
It should be noted that the office of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia has proposed establishing a joint mechanism for investigating any violations of the ceasefire regime and/or reports regarding such incidents, to which Azerbaijan has yet to respond.
The Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia reaffirms its readiness to investigate the facts supporting the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense's statement, provided they are handed over to Armenia.
As of now, the Republic of Azerbaijan has not provided the Republic of Armenia with any factual data or justification regarding violations of the ceasefire regime by Armenian Armed Forces units.
