Moscow Welcomes Trump's Statements, Says Peskov
Russia welcomes any efforts aimed at resolving the conflict in Ukraine. This was stated by Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the President of Russia, in an interview with a RIA Novosti correspondent.
“Regarding Trump's words that he brought grief to Russia, Moscow remembers. During Trump's first term, anti-Russian sanctions were imposed, and arms were supplied to Ukraine. Moscow welcomes Trump's statements about the desire to bring peace to Ukraine,” he said.
Peskov added that the Kremlin has not heard any official statements from the United States regarding the possible partial lifting of sanctions. “Russia and the United States should free their relations from the negative burden of sanctions,” he noted.
