We Need to Traverse a Serious Path with Americans: Peskov
Relations between Russia and the USA have deteriorated significantly in recent years. This was stated by Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the President of Russia, in an interview with RIA Novosti.
“Possible joint cooperation between Russia and the USA will only happen when the issue of Ukraine is definitively resolved. We trust ourselves. If you want us to also trust the Americans, we need to traverse a serious path, and measures will be necessary to restore and strengthen mutual trust,” Peskov noted.
Commenting on the EU's approach and actions, Peskov added: “The EU is far from a balanced approach to the Ukraine issue. The Kremlin hopes that this will change after clear and effective negotiations with the USA.”
