New Notable Names Added to the EU Sanctions List
The European Union has expanded its list of individual anti-Russian sanctions. This is stated in the EU Council's decision on establishing the 16th package of sanctions against Russia, which was published in the official journal of the European Union.
The EU has added several prominent figures to the sanctions list, including the Armenian-born humorist Mikhail Galustyan, television presenter Yulia Baranovskaya, senator and chess player Sergey Karjakin, Russian gymnast and Olympic champion Nikita Nagorny, as well as many other notable personalities, politicians, and a number of businessmen.
