State Department on Russian-American Negotiations
U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov have agreed during negotiations in Riyadh to establish a consultative mechanism to eliminate "triggers" in the relations between Russia and the United States. This is stated in a statement from the State Department.
"Lavrov and Rubio also agreed to form negotiating groups to address the Ukrainian conflict," stated a representative of the State Department.
Reuters reports that "the Russian Foreign Minister and the U.S. Secretary of State have reached an agreement on future cooperation in economic and investment areas, as well as on issues of common geopolitical interest."
