Erdogan on Ceasefire Maintenance in Gaza
The ceasefire in Gaza should be permanent, and the responsibility for this lies with the international community. This was stated by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan after talks with German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier in Ankara.
“We all have a great responsibility to maintain the announced ceasefire in the Gaza Strip. As the international community, we must continue our efforts to find a solution to the issues arising between the two states,” said the Turkish leader.
Erdogan noted that Turkey will continue to cooperate with Germany on the reconstruction of Syria and the resolution of conflicts in Ukraine and the Gaza Strip. “We want Syria to be a country with stable peace and prosperity. I hope that Germany will provide the necessary support for Turkey’s efforts in the reconstruction of Syria,” the Turkish president added.
