Former Georgian Prime Minister Attacked
Georgi Gakharia, the former Prime Minister of Georgia and current leader of the opposition party 'For Georgia', was attacked in Batumi.
According to local media reports, the incident occurred late at night at the Sheraton hotel. Gakharia was hospitalized with a broken nose at the Batumi Republican Hospital but left the facility after undergoing examination.
The details surrounding the attack remain unclear. The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia has initiated a criminal case.
