No Armenian Citizens Among Those Killed in Los Angeles Fires, Says Ministry of Foreign Affairs
No Armenian citizens are among those killed in the raging fires in Los Angeles, said Ani Badalyan, spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, in an interview with Sputnik Armenia.
The Armenian consulate in Los Angeles continues its normal operations, maintaining constant contact with local authorities and community organizations.
It is reminded that the Los Angeles County coroner's office has confirmed the latest number of victims, warning that this figure may increase throughout the day. Currently, the report indicates 11 fatalities.
Wildfires have been burning in California since January 7, marking one of the most devastating events in the state's history. Strong winds and low humidity are causing the rapid spread of the fire.
