Video: The Individual Responsible for Dog Killing in Artik Has Reported to the Police

On November 10, a report was received at the Artik Community Police department. Animal rights activists indicated that the previous day, a dog killing had occurred in the Lambat-2 neighborhood of Artik, and the bodies of three shot dogs had been lying at the site for two days. This was reported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

A police operational group was dispatched to the scene. Measures were taken to uncover the crime. The compiled documents were sent to the investigative departments of Artik and Ani.

“As a result of measures taken within the framework of the criminal proceedings, the Artik police received operational information, conducted explanatory work, and on November 20, a 34-year-old man from the same neighborhood voluntarily reported to the police. He surrendered an 'IZH-17' model rifle and stated that he had found the rifle about a month ago in a neighborhood garbage dump and had kept it in his brother's unoccupied apartment. He claimed that on the late evening of November 7, he shot at stray dogs that attacked him with that same rifle,” the report states.

Details are being clarified during the investigation.
