VIDEO: If There Is an Offer, We Will Not Respond Positively - Ararat Mirzoyan

"The 3+3 format is a regional consultative platform, and we have stated more than once that we value our relationships with neighbors, the situation in our region, and we strive to develop relations with partners with whom we have established connections, as well as to rectify our relations with those neighbors with whom we do not have these connections. This was stated by Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan during a Q&A session in the National Assembly today, October 3.

"From the very beginning, we have participated in the 3+3 platform and will continue to participate. Regarding whether this platform could be a ground for Armenia-Azerbaijan negotiations, I want to say that, essentially, that proposal is not even on the table, and if it were, we would not find it appropriate to respond positively. Because we have our format for bilateral negotiations with Azerbaijan, covering all directions, including border demarcation and the peace agreement.

“Another thing is that, as in all multilateral formats, different countries use this opportunity to be in one place for simultaneous bilateral meetings as well. This time too, we were no exception with the Azerbaijani Foreign Minister. We had another round of negotiations, focused on the text of the peace agreement, and tried to ensure positive developments to bring the signing of the agreement closer to fruition," the Foreign Minister announced.
