You Were in Power in One Country for Three Days: Simonyan
Do you even know what those white dots mean on the flags you placed on your tables? This was stated during the parliamentary announcement time by the Speaker of the National Assembly, Alen Simonyan, pointing to the flags of Artsakh placed on the tables of the opposition.
"That is the part where your colleagues voted for it to be Azerbaijan. That large piece is Armenia, and that small part is the connecting Artsakh. The colleagues sitting here—Mikael Manukyan, Armen Rustamyan, Aghvan Vardanyan, Karen Shahmuradyan, Armen Babayan—were absent but voted in favor of fixing that part as the Republic of Azerbaijan according to domestic law," said Simonyan, questioning what they wanted by coming here now.
According to Simonyan, those flags placed in front of them should remind them each time they look at the flag that the other side of the flag is recognized by them as the Republic of Azerbaijan.
"And don’t come here and throw dust in people’s eyes. I’m not saying this, Vahagn Aleksanyan isn’t saying it, it’s the emptiness of your rallies that is saying it, the weariness of your Catholicos is saying it, and your worn Vazgen Manukyan is saying that you can’t gather even five people," he added.
Simonyan noted that the opposition should reflect on the fact that their self-proclaimed national party, the Armenian Revolutionary Federation and the Democratic Party, have the same rating. "Go think about it, be ashamed of what you’ve done, be ashamed. You call yourselves a national party, instead of coming here and standing in front of the Republic of Armenia, bringing Azerbaijan’s narratives here, reading them with a serious face, and thinking you’re doing something noble? We won’t allow it. I won’t allow it; the people won’t allow it. You sold a state, we saw you were in power in one country for three days," he concluded.
