That Territory Has Been and Remains Azerbaijan's: Alen Simonian
The Speaker of the National Assembly, Alen Simonian, stated today that the current opposition, when in power, did not recognize Artsakh as an independent state and left Artsakh as part of Azerbaijan.
“When you were discussing and adopting the law on Administrative Territorial Division and indicating that this is Azerbaijan, what were you doing?” Simonian asked during the discussions in the National Assembly.
He emphasized that the fact remains that “that territory has been and continues to be internationally recognized as part of Azerbaijan.”
