The European Parliament on Tuesday approved a groundbreaking initiative to provide Ukraine with up to €35 billion in loans by utilizing the frozen assets of the Russian Central Bank as collateral for the payments, reports Euronews.
In Strasbourg, the proposal received overwhelming support with 518 votes in favor, 56 against, and 61 abstentions.
"With this vote, we send a very clear signal that we are using the profits from the frozen Russian assets for Ukraine, and that Russia, as an aggressor, must pay and will pay for its destruction,"
