Iran Suspends All Flights to Europe
Iran has suspended all flights to Europe due to European Union sanctions against the state airline Iran Air.
Iran Air, the only Iranian airline that was able to operate flights to EU countries, is halting its European routes following the new sanctions imposed by the EU. This was announced by Maksoud Asadi Samani, director of the Iranian Association of Airlines.
“The only airline in our country that has flown to Europe has been Iran Air, and considering the new sanctions of the European Union against Iran Air, no Iranian aircraft will fly to Europe anymore,” he was quoted by the Iranian ILNA news agency.
