NATO to Conduct Large-Scale Nuclear Exercises in Response to Putin's Decision
NATO will commence its annual aviation exercises on Monday, aimed at practicing the use of nuclear weapons. This was announced to journalists by NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg after arriving in London for a meeting with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer.
The North Atlantic Alliance is initiating these exercises against the backdrop of Putin's hardening of Russia's nuclear doctrine. The drills will take place in Belgium and the Netherlands, as well as in the North Sea, involving around 60 aircraft from 13 alliance countries, primarily F-16 and F-35 fighter jets, as well as B-52 bombers.
According to NATO representatives, Moscow has been informed about this, as reported by the Associated Press.
