Erdogan: Ukraine Is Not Wanted in NATO
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has stated that the United States and several other NATO members do not want Ukraine to become a member of the North Atlantic Alliance. His remarks were quoted by the American NBC network.
"The U.S., first and foremost, does not want Ukraine to become a NATO member. Several NATO countries also do not wish for Ukraine to join the alliance. We need to make decisions based on the realities we see," said Erdogan.
According to him, when making a decision regarding Ukraine's membership in NATO, it is essential to consider the opinion of each member of the North Atlantic Alliance.
