Kamala Harris Accepts New Debate Proposal with Trump: CNN
U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris has today accepted CNN's invitation to debate former President Donald Trump on October 23, thereby challenging her rival to yet another public appearance in the closing weeks of the campaign, reports CNN.
“Vice President Harris is ready for another opportunity to share the stage with Donald Trump,” said a statement from campaign chair Jen O'Malley Dillon, adding, “Donald Trump should have no problem agreeing to this debate.”
On Saturday, Harris tweeted that she would “gladly accept the second presidential debate” and expressed hope that Trump would “join” her on October 23.
