We Are Eagerly Awaiting Israel's Entry into Lebanon: Hezbollah Leader Addresses Netanyahu
Israel will never be able to return its citizens to the country's north. This was stated by the leader of the Lebanese Hezbollah movement, addressing Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
“In fact, we will drive even more Israelis from their homes,” Nasrallah threatened. In October 2023, 150,000 residents were evacuated from northern Israel following a Hamas attack. Netanyahu has repeatedly stated his goal is to return these people to their homes, but the security situation does not allow it.
“We are waiting for Israel to enter Lebanon, day and night we are waiting for their tanks, saying ‘welcome.’ We believe that any incursion into Lebanese territory is a historic opportunity that will have a great impact on the course of the battle,” added the Hezbollah leader.
The situation in the Middle East has sharply deteriorated since the assassination of Hamas Political Bureau chief Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran on July 31, which was preceded by the killing of a high-ranking Hezbollah commander, Fouad Shoukrou, due to an Israeli strike in Beirut. Iran and Hezbollah have vowed to avenge their deaths. Israel and Hezbollah have been striking each other nearly daily.
