Israel Planned Pager Detonation Operations in Lebanon for 15 Years
Israel has spent 15 years planning operations to detonate pagers in Lebanon. This was reported by ABC News, citing U.S. intelligence sources.
According to them, Israel participated in the production of communication devices that exploded in various regions of Lebanon. To this end, several front companies were established that were supposedly engaged in pager production. However, many employees of these companies were unaware of the true purpose of their work.
One such company was BAC Consulting, registered in Budapest, which had a contract with the Taiwanese company Gold Apollo for pager production. However, a representative of the Hungarian government stated that such devices had not been produced in Hungary, and BAC Consulting only acted as a "reseller."
The Hungarian portal Telex claimed that the exploded pagers could have been purchased from the Bulgarian company Norta Global, rather than the Hungarian BAC Consulting. Subsequently, Bulgaria's National Security State Agency denied the Bulgarian company's involvement in the supply of these devices.
